Fire Door Responsibilities: 

In the UK, all fire doors need to be certified. This means manufactured by a UKAS approved manufacturer AND installed to manufacturer guidelines by a UKAS accredited company. To preserve the certification, it must also be maintained inline within the required British Standards throughout its life and you must obtain and keep evidence of this throughout the life of the door. Without full certification and ongoing evidence of maintenance, many insurance providers will invalidate your claim in the event of a fire.
