Costs - Structure of Charges for Forestry Operations
We charge either a set day rate or piece rate. The most suitable method of
pricing will depend on the type of job e.g. for clear felling or thinning
work, our customers sometimes prefer a price per tree to be felled, for other
conservational work that is less focused on tree felling or where there is
no felling required, a day rate may be more suitable. Upon request, a site
survey will be undertaken. The site survey will cost £160, if travel
outside of the Southampton area is required, then an additional charge may
be applied. Once the site survey is complete, the customer will be provided
with a written proposal and quote, which will include and a price together
with an estimate of the time required to complete the job and any other details
specific to the job e.g. access requirements etc.
Piece Rate
Our piece rates vary and will depend on factors such as average DBH and the
conditions of the surrounding area. Price will be given for total job and
price per tree if applicable.
Day Rate
Our day rate will depend upon the type of team required and the number in
each team can be adapted to meet the customer’s specific needs.
