HIGHLY WORKED NATURAL WOOD FORMS

John
Surplice has been a forester for over forty years and has always loved trees
and timber in all its forms. After 34 years with the National Trust and now
retired and working part time for the Timber Mill, John spends many hours
working on natural wood forms, whether caused by decay, disease or just simply
roots. As a result each sculpture is unique and stunning in appearance.
John is pictured here at Mottisfonts first artistic creations exhibition called 'Mottisfont Musings' with one of his many wonderful wood sculptures 'The Wild Cherry Font'. These sculptures would adorn any garden and create a truly unique centre piece. If you would like to see more of his work you can visit his website at www.naturalwoodforms.co.uk.
